AMOLED, or Active Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode, belongs to the OLED family of display technologies. This is the most advanced display technology on the market. AMOLED displays also offer wide viewing angles, which in the case of IPS displays reach almost 180 degrees. However, the disadvantage of AMOLED technology is its higher price and shorter lifespan.
