The ADAM Audio S2V is a classic two-way nearfield monitor designed for small to medium-sized studios and control rooms. The woofer, designed from the ground up for the new S series, covers frequencies from 35Hz to 3kHz. It delivers a powerful and precise low-frequency response, free from distracting distortion and with a wide dynamic range. The front of the speaker features the newly developed S-ART tweeter, handmade at the ADAM Audio factory in Berlin. It is seated in an all-new HPS waveguide, whose heavy and robust construction minimises unwanted vibrations and sound colouration. The compact dimensions of the S2V belie its immense power.

The woofer is powered by a digital 300W Class D amplifier, while the tweeter is driven by a 50W Class A/B amplifier. Together, they can produce an acoustic pressure of 120dB SPL (per pair). The custom-designed DSP optimises the crossover frequency, creating a linear response across the entire frequency range. It also allows for user equaliser adjustments and room configuration. The DSP module is also responsible for protecting the tweeter via a limiter and processing the AES3 digital inputs, with extensive expandability options also planned for the future.
