Ante port

Go mad or die, there is no in-between.

Only a scarred mind can awaken all forgotten powers. Its worst personal fears materialise in the form of life-threatening demons. It's like opening a gate. No one knows who or what is waiting behind it – and that goes for both sides. What will happen if these things connect?

A mentally disturbed young mother with a family in which one of the children is severely disabled. A lonely, neglected wife. A house with a bad reputation in a strange place with even stranger neighbours. Old age has not erased any of their hatred for the world or their desire for power. Only one crucial thing has been added, and it has just started to shuffle the deck. The fear of death. The evocation of demons. Satanic rituals. Sacrifice and revenge.

A mixture that is bound to explode sooner or later.

"Ante Portas is much more than a haunted house story. It's a horror story about black magic, demons, neighbours who have fallen into satanism and their bloody sacrifices, but at the same time it is a psychological novel about burnout and loneliness. A novel that will resonate with you long after you've read it."
