APC Easy-UPS BVX 2200VA (IEC)

The APC Easy-UPS BVX 2200VA (IEC) is a line-interactive UPS that protects electronics in homes and small offices. It uses automatic voltage regulation (AVR), offers six IEC C13 output sockets and has integrated surge protection. It has an apparent power rating of 2200VA and a real power rating of 1200W, which meets the needs of high-performance computer setups or multiple workstations. Thanks to AVR technology, it actively stabilises fluctuating input voltage, protecting sensitive devices without unnecessarily switching to battery power. Four of the output sockets provide full battery backup, while two sockets protect against power surges. The integrated surge protection, with an energy absorption rating of 273J, also protects connected electronics from damage caused by power spikes in the grid.

Performance and efficiency

The UPS uses line-interactive topology, which employs automatic voltage regulation (AVR). This feature corrects undervoltage and overvoltage without switching to battery power. The efficiency at a full load of 1200W is 95.8%, and at half load it reaches up to 97.1%. The backup time at 100% load is 1 minute and 22 seconds, and at 50% load (600W) it is 7.68 minutes.

Battery and protection for the APC Easy-UPS BVX 2200VA (IEC)

The APC Easy-UPS BVX 2200VA (IEC) contains an internal 24V, 9.0Ah lead-acid battery that the user can replace themselves. It has a lifespan of 2–3 years and takes 8 hours to fully charge. The UPS integrates protection against deep battery discharge as well as surge protection with an energy absorption rating of 273J. The cold-start function is a great advantage, allowing you to turn on the UPS even without a mains connection.

UPS management options

The APC Easy-UPS BVX 2200VA (IEC) does not include communication ports such as USB and does not support connection to a computer. Due to the absence of management software, it does not enable an automated safe system shutdown or advanced monitoring of battery status or power consumption. Operating statuses are indicated by LED lights located on the front panel.

Connectivity and sockets

For connectivity, the APC Easy-UPS BVX 2200VA (IEC) uses an IEC C20 input connector to connect to the mains. It offers a total of six IEC C13 output sockets to power connected devices. The sockets are divided so that four provide full backup and protection. The remaining two offer only surge protection for less critical peripherals.
