Stable power and performance
The APC UPS uses a line-interactive topology with a pure sine wave output. Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects undervoltages and overvoltages without switching to battery power, which extends the internal battery's life and protects connected electronics. The backup time at 100% load (1000W) is 7 minutes and 9 seconds, increasing to 25 minutes and 51 seconds at half load (500W).
Battery and protection
Inside is a lead-acid battery that the user can replace while the unit is operating. The typical time to fully recharge the battery is 3 hours. The cold-start feature starts the UPS even without mains power input. Surge protection absorbs energy up to 459J, which reduces the risk of hardware damage during power spikes on the network.
Remote management and monitoring
For management and communication, the UPS is equipped with USB, RS-232, and Ethernet ports thanks to its pre-installed network card. This is used for remote monitoring and configuration over the network. PowerChute Network Shutdown software automates the safe shutdown of virtual machines and physical servers during a prolonged power outage, preventing data loss.
Connectivity and sockets
