Black Storm
She came to solve a murder, only to uncover something that could destroy the world...
Hong Kong is on the verge of collapse. The Umbrella Revolution is raging in the streets, the People's Republic of China is strengthening the presence of its armed forces on the border, and on the horizon, clouds are gathering, heralding a black storm—a meteorological phenomenon more terrifying than the threat of invasion.
Detective Inspector Elizabeth Ainsley of the British counter-terrorism department flies into this epicentre of tension. Her task is to investigate new leads in a closed murder case to allay fears of a possible bioterrorist attack.
Little does she know that her obsession with the truth will lead her to a technology that should never have seen the light of day. A relic of the Cold War that not only threatens the millions of inhabitants of Hong Kong but also transcends the boundaries of current scientific knowledge…
Reviews for the book:
Marek Havlík, an expert on terrorism and extremism, has written a thrilling page-turner. Black Storm takes the reader not only to the Siberian gulags and Hong Kong during the Umbrella Revolution but also into the dark recesses of the human brain.
