Kristýna hides away from the world and, rather than finally starting to live, she thinks about death every day. Her parents and grandmother have died, and she hasn't seen her brother in several years.
Although she's educated, she works in a warehouse, and besides a few acquaintances from work, she has no one's shoulder to cry on. She inherited a love for the theatre from her grandmother, so she fills her boring days with lines from plays and memories of those who are no longer among the living.
She suffers from talking to herself, and when she isn't chatting with her long-dead grandmother, she speaks in verse, which drives away anyone who might be interested in her.
Her life slowly begins to change for the better when a pensioner, who works part-time as a cashier, invites her to the theatre.
Any kind of relationship, which she had previously refused to enter into with anyone due to a terrible experience in her youth, soon follows, and Týna begins to return to a life that isn't as sad as it seemed to her for many years before.
She falls in love, and from the wallflower who had hidden from the world, she gradually transforms into a perfect woman.
