Borci from the crypt
Jan Kubiš and Jaroslav Švarc tweet (not just) from 1941. An original book about Operation Anthropoid.
An original book about Operation Anthropoid.
The year is 1941. While paratrooper Jaroslav Švarc still doesn't know if he will be sent to the territory of the Protectorate, Jan Kubiš is already preparing for a mission that will change the course of our history. The objective of Operation Anthropoid is clear: to stop Reinhard Heydrich, the personification of the Nazi reign of terror. After the jump, a race against time begins. This exceptional book, supplemented with visual materials, diaries (some published for the very first time), and the memories of direct participants, provides a detailed testimony to the courage and determination of our soldiers abroad and the heroes of the domestic resistance.
The last bullet.
Capsule in my mouth, barrel to my temple. It's hot. It was good to know you all here. Take care and don't forget us!
Goodbye. Jaryn

Marie Domke (1978), a bookworm and enthusiast. She comes from Ostrava and lives near Chrudim. In 2017, she started writing on Twitter (X) about the topic that interests her the most – parachute drops from Great Britain and the Czechoslovak resistance during the Second World War. She created the successful project 'Borci z krypty' (Heroes from the Crypt), which brought to life the journey of paratroopers Jan Kubiš and Jaroslav Švarc in 'real-time' from England to the crypt of the Church of St. Cyril and Methodius on Resslova Street in Prague.
