Café U Anděla: Unforgettable Glory

The Most Famous Hockey Players of All Time in the Clearest Edition

Wiesbaden, 1968.

The Angel Café has been broken into, and the Koch family is deeply shaken. When Hilda starts to clean up, she comes across an old photograph of their business from the time it was founded. She discovers something wonderful: their café is celebrating its incredible 100th anniversary, an occasion that cannot be overlooked. However, the preparations for the celebration are overshadowed by unexpected events. While Hilda battles health problems, her son Andi gets lost in the chaos of the '68 movement in Frankfurt, where he finds his great love, Claudia. When his ex-girlfriend Margit suddenly arrives at the café with surprising news, the future of the family business is put to a difficult test.

The pseudonym Marie Lamballe

Marie Lamballe is the pseudonym of an author who became famous for her novels for women. She was born in Hanover, and her love for France, especially the picturesque region of Brittany, is reflected in her three Breton novels. Last year, Euromedia published the first of them, The Garden of Hydrangeas, and now Deep Blue Sea is being released, with the final one, The Lighthouse on the Cliffs, to follow in the second half of this year. The author lives near Frankfurt am Main and prefers to write in her favourite café.

Anne Jacobs

Anne Jacobs

Anne Jacobs grew up in Wiesbaden, where both her parents were actors at the State Theatre. She studied literature and languages and began writing shortly after; initially short stories, later plays, screenplays, and novels. Under various pseudonyms, she has published a number of family sagas and historical novels. The six-part family series The Manor House, which depicts the fate of one family against the backdrop of modern German history, immediately shot to the top of bestseller lists not only in Germany but in many other countries as well. The author's trilogy The Country Estate, which tells of an old manor in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and portrays the lives of its inhabitants, also achieved great success. Also successful were the two-part novel set in Africa, Heaven over Kilimanjaro and Tender Moon over Usambara, as well as the standalone African novel, Island of a Thousand Stars. Furthermore, the two-part novel Rosen's Atelier and the first four parts of the planned six-part saga, The Angel Café. All the author's books have been published in Czech translation by Euromedia under the Ikar brand. Anne Jacobs lives as a freelance writer near Frankfurt am Main, in a small village in the Taunus mountains, where she gets the best ideas for her novels.
