Digital Gold

Every day, we leave traces behind us in the digital world. Thousands of tiny signals about what we read, what we click on, what angers us, and what we put in our shopping baskets. This data is worth its weight in gold, and it is collected, evaluated, and traded in a complex ecosystem in real-time. How far can this information travel, and when does it start influencing our decisions faster than we can realise?

This book will give you the one thing the digital world lacks most: context.

It will explain:
• how data is handled,
• why it is so valuable,
• how seemingly invisible influence works,
• and it will offer the key to healthy habits that will help you navigate the digital world consciously.

We have long been living our daily lives through the screens of our phones, computers, and smart devices, which generate data that impacts what we buy, what we believe, who we vote for, and where we go on holiday. Learn to protect your “digital gold”.
