Eglo MECINOS, Black
The Eglo MECINOS recessed spotlight serves as a built-in light source for wall mounting indoors. This square-shaped, black light fitting is ideal for illuminating staircases, hallways, bedrooms or living rooms. The steel construction has external dimensions of 80×80mm with a mounting depth of 50mm, and protrudes only 3mm from the wall surface. The integrated LED source emits a warm white light with a colour temperature of 3000K and a luminous flux of 90lm. It is powered from the mains with an AC voltage of 220–240V at a frequency of 50/60Hz.
Key features of the Eglo MECINOS spotlight, black
- The light source consists of integrated LEDs with a 2W power consumption
- The luminaire emits a warm white light with a colour temperature of 3000K
- Luminous flux of 90lm with low consumption
- The steel construction is highly resistant to damage
- The mounting depth requires only 50mm of space
- The IP20 rating protects the luminaire against foreign objects
- The steel body protrudes only 3mm above the wall surface
Construction and dimensions
The luminaire is mounted into a prepared circular cut-out in plasterboard or masonry. The mounting hole requires a diameter of 65mm and a recess depth of 50mm. The metal steel body protrudes only 3mm from the wall surface. The solid steel construction has a square shape with dimensions of 80×80mm. The total net weight is 0.16kg, which makes installation in plasterboard easy.
Integrated LED technology for the Eglo MECINOS spotlight
The light source consists of permanently installed LEDs that are not user-replaceable. This system has a total power consumption of 2W and generates a luminous flux of 90lm. The integrated LED source emits a warm white light with a colour temperature of 3000K. The colour rendering index is 80Ra, which meets the standards for typical indoor spaces. The manufacturer supplies this luminaire with a power supply included in the package.
Use, installation and consumption of the recessed luminaire
The product is classified as protection class 1 and requires connection to a protective conductor. The IP20 rating defines protection against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5mm, but does not protect against water. Recessed wall mounting requires a connection to a mains voltage of 220–240V at a frequency of 50/60Hz. The luminaire is not compatible with dimmers, so the light intensity cannot be adjusted. It is suitable for hallways, bedrooms or living rooms. This type is classified as class G according to current European standards. The low power consumption of 2W contributes to energy savings during long-term operation. The light source has a fixed driver that cannot be replaced separately. The luminaire meets the requirements for safe operation in dry interiors. MECINOS products offer a solution for lighting stairs and hallways.
