The EVOLVEO switching unit monitors the status of the heads and leaves the boiler off if all heads are closed. If at least one of the heads in the system is in an unsealed state, then this switching unit will start the boiler. The switching unit communicates via the Zigbee wireless protocol and is usually located directly at the boiler. It then communicates with the boiler via a two-wire control cable. In addition, the switching unit allows the boiler to be switched off when all connected heads are closed and are not heating (no need to supply heat to any radiator). The use of the switching unit is suitable for both gas and electric boilers or heat pumps. Thermoheads communicate via Zigbee gateway. The Zigbee gateway connects wirelessly to the Wi-Fi network and this then allows you to control the system using a mobile app on your phone.

Connection to the boiler
Two wires connect the switching unit to the boiler or heat pump. Next, a 230V power supply is connected to the switching unit directly at the terminal block. The switching unit can be connected to the same Zigbee gateway as the head, or to a different Zigbee gateway. The installation may only be carried out by a person with the appropriate professional electrical qualifications.
