Family Therapy and the Theory of Yin and Yang
E-book, Czech
Family Therapy and the Theory of Yin and Yang
The third and significantly expanded edition of a seminal book by leading Czech therapists.
In this second volume, the authors expand on the original concept of family therapy, which they introduced in the book Family Therapy of Psychosomatic Disorders, by incorporating the yin-yang theory. They connect this theory with ideas from psychotherapy in Western medicine, particularly with the Jungian concept of anima and animus.
Through numerous case studies, the authors illustrate what happens in the network of family relationships when the difference between the sexes is eliminated, and what consequences this has for the emotional field of the family, and thus for the somatisation, psychological, and social problems of all family members.
The book will be useful for psychologists, special needs educators, psychotherapists, doctors, students of these fields, the wider healthcare community, and families with a chronically ill member.
