POSITIONS
In Pokémon Winds Nintendo Switch 2, you're the main character in a brand new adventure. You will enter a vast world full of islands, wildlife and secrets waiting to be discovered. From the very beginning, you create your own hero identity, and your character's appearance and outfit varies depending on the version of the game you choose (Pokémon Winds or Pokémon Waves). As you progress, you'll meet new Pokémon, explore unknown areas and face challenges that will test your courage and your ability to work with your companions. What story awaits you in this world, what secrets lie beyond the horizon and what legends will come to life during your journey? It all depends on the decisions you make during your expedition.
BROWT
The first possible partner is Browt, a cute "Bean Chick" grass-type Pokémon. This small, energetic creature is constantly running around while using the leaves on its forehead for photosynthesis, which allows it to extract energy from the ambient light. Browt is very lively and curious, so he often sets out to explore new parts of the world, but sometimes he can seem a bit clumsy. Despite this, he is a dedicated companion who willingly explores every island with his trainer and, thanks to his Overgrow ability, can greatly strengthen his grass attacks at crucial moments.
POMBON
The other possible partner is Pombon, a friendly fire-type Pokémon resembling a small puppy. Below its throat is a special organ in its lungs that generates heat and causes the subtle radiation that is typical of this Pokémon. Pombon has a happy and carefree nature, quickly forms a strong bond with his trainer and loves to accompany him every step of the way. Thanks to the Fire ability, he can intensify his fire attacks at critical moments.
GECQUA
The third partner is Gecqua, an intelligent aquatic Pokémon inspired by the gecko. This creature is known for its astuteness and ability to react quickly to situations around it. It can shoot flexible water balls from its tail, which it uses in fights and defence. Gecqua is also very cunning, often feigning subtle or confused movements to confuse opponents and gain an advantage. For trainers who appreciate clever tactics and quick reactions, Gecqua can be a great partner on the road to a new adventure.
PIKACHU
New previews from the world of Pokémon Waves and Pokémon Winds also feature a special Pikachu in a never-before-seen form. These Pikachu have a completely new look, adapted to the unique environment of the island region. The altered style and details of their appearance will tell you whether they are just a visual variant or a special form with their own abilities. These unusual Pokémon can play an important role in exploring the world, completing challenges and building a strong team. Exactly how these new Pikachu will get involved in your adventure and what surprises they may hold will be revealed during your own journey through this mysterious region.
