Developed by Nintendo EPD, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is an action-adventure game published by Nintendo.
Witness the origin of the Master Sword in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for Nintendo Switch.
Originally released on Wii in 2011, this classic adventure has been optimised for Nintendo Switch with smoother motion controls.
Link's Adventure Begins
Relive one of Link's earliest stories in The Legend of Zelda timeline. Travel between the world above the clouds and the great unknown below in search of your childhood friend, Zelda. Armed with his trusty sword and shield, Link takes on powerful foes, solves tricky puzzles, and glides through the sky on the back of a giant bird called Loftwing in this epic adventure.
Innovative and Unusual Controls
As you play with the two Joy-Cons, they become your sword and shield. Moving the right Joy-Con will cause Link to swing his sword in the same direction, and the left Joy-Con, on the other hand, will force Link to raise his shield to deflect enemy attacks. You can also use a variety of tools and items with these moves, such as shooting a bow or throwing bombs.
Pocket Mode
For the first time, you can also play this adventure using the buttons, allowing you to play the game in handheld mode or on Nintendo Switch Lite. Using this control scheme, you can control Link's sword by simply tilting the right control stick in the direction of your choice.
