Marek Wolf arrives at the crime scene before the police – this time, the murder victim is his own mother. The murder weapon is a service pistol, and the prime suspect is his brother, Patrik, who has escaped from a correctional facility. However, Wolf refuses to believe his brother is a murderer and starts a desperate investigation of his own. He soon begins to suspect that his mother's death is connected to the unsolved case of Červ – and that he is on the trail of something much bigger and more dangerous.
Meanwhile, Karol Lupták is investigating the case of a girl who disappeared from a luxury hotel in Vienna. The last security camera footage captured her by a freezer box. Then she vanished without a trace.
Two cases. One terrifying connection. And a truth that crosses all boundaries. Volavka is the dark sequel to the thriller Červ, where predators in human form play a deadly game.
