Hilook by Hikvision IPC-B640HA-Z
The Hilook by Hikvision IPC-B640HA-Z IP camera, with its durable Bullet design, monitors indoor and outdoor areas in high 4Mpx resolution of 2560 × 1440px. This camera uses a sensitive 1/3" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and a motorised varifocal lens with an adjustable focal length of 2.8 to 12mm, which provides a horizontal field of view ranging from 95.9° to 29.2°. Night vision with advanced EXIR 2.0 infrared technology reaches up to 30m and reliably captures the scene even in complete darkness. Integrated motion detection focusing on people and vehicles significantly reduces false alarms and makes security more effective.

Image Parameters and Video Compression
The 1/3" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor provides a clear image with a maximum resolution of 2560 × 1440px at a frame rate of 20 frames per second. The motorised varifocal lens with a focal length of 2.8 to 12mm and an F1.6 aperture allows for remote adjustment of the viewing angle according to the monitored scene. The horizontal viewing angle ranges from 95.9° to 29.2°, and the vertical from 50.6° to 16.4°. To make efficient use of storage space, the camera uses the modern H.265+ compression codec, which significantly reduces the data stream while maintaining high image quality.
EXIR Night Vision of the Hilook by Hikvision IPC-B640HA-Z IP Camera
The camera relies on classic infrared night vision with a wavelength of 850nm and a maximum range of up to 30m. The advanced EXIR 2.0 technology ensures uniform scene illumination without overexposed areas in the centre of the image. The Smart IR function automatically adjusts the intensity of the infrared illuminator depending on the object's distance from the lens. Clear images, even in challenging lighting conditions with harsh backlighting, are supported by hardware WDR technology with a dynamic range of 120dB.
Smart Detection and Event Response
The integrated MD 2.0 technology focuses on detecting people and vehicles, which minimises false alarms caused by leaves, rain, or small animals. Basic events include motion detection and camera tampering by covering the lens. When an incident is detected, the system can start recording to a memory card, send an email notification with an attachment, upload an image to an FTP server, or send information to a monitoring centre.
Saving Recordings
For local data storage, there is a built-in slot for a MicroSD, MicroSDHC, or MicroSDXC memory card with support for up to 256GB. Recordings can also be saved to NVR network recorders, cloud storage, or a remote FTP server. Users can set recording to trigger based on motion detection or according to a fixed time schedule for continuous operation.
Construction and Durability of the Hilook by Hikvision IP Camera
The metal Bullet-style body meets the strict conditions of the IP67 protection rating, ensuring complete resistance to dust and heavy rain. The device operates in a wide temperature range from -30°C to 60°C, allowing for year-round operation in demanding outdoor conditions. The mount's design supports three-axis adjustment with a pan rotation from 0° to 360°, a tilt of 0° to 90°, and a lens rotation of 0° to 360°.
Connectivity and Applications
Network connectivity is provided by a single 10/100Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet port, which also supports PoE power according to the 802.3af Class 3 standard. The iVMS-4200 client software is used for managing and viewing the live feed, along with the HiLookVision mobile app for iOS and Android operating systems. Broad protocol support, including ONVIF profiles S, G, and T, ensures compatibility with third-party network recorders and software platforms.
