The HiLook NVR-104MH-C(E)(STD) network recorder is designed for storing, processing, and managing video recordings from IP security cameras in homes and small businesses. This compact 1U device supports up to 4 cameras simultaneously and processes video recordings at up to 8MP resolution. Users can store video signals from compatible network cameras with a total incoming bandwidth of 40Mb/s. The outgoing bandwidth is 80Mb/s, contributing to smooth data transfer when playing back stored recordings.

High resolution
The device records in a resolution of 4096 × 2160 pixels, which corresponds to the 4K standard. This provides users with a detailed image for the precise identification of people or objects in the monitored area. The recorder transmits the video signal via HDMI and VGA interfaces, with both outputs working simultaneously. The HDMI port supports display in high 4K resolution at 30Hz, and the VGA output works with a 1080p resolution at 60Hz. Synchronous playback covers all 4 channels at once.
Video compression
The recorder uses H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264, and MPEG4 compression formats. These technologies significantly reduce the overall data flow and save free space on the installed hard drive. The integrated H.265+ codec optimises memory usage without any noticeable degradation in the final quality of the recorded image. The system stores longer periods of footage without the need to frequently delete older data. The technology uses predictive coding and noise suppression for efficient bandwidth management.
Intelligent detection
The device integrates Motion Detection 2.0 technology to analyse the selected channel. This system recognises people and moving vehicles, thereby preventing false alarms caused by things like moving leaves or animals. The recorder triggers an alarm when a defined area is breached or in the event of unexpected video signal loss. An alarm also occurs if the camera's view is obstructed or if there is unauthorised tampering. Users receive a notification directly on their mobile phone or to a specified email address.
Disk capacity and connection
The design offers a single internal bay for a 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drive. The recorder supports a hard drive with a capacity of up to 8TB for long-term storage of security data, letting you choose storage according to the specific needs of the installation. For quick data export, there are two integrated USB 2.0 ports.
Remote management
Connection to the local network is provided by a single gigabit RJ-45 ethernet port with a speed of 10/100/1000Mb/s. Users can access live previews and recordings via the HiLookVision mobile app, the Hik-Connect app, or a classic web interface. The recorder supports up to 32 remote connections simultaneously for different users. System management works reliably even remotely over the internet using TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, NTP, SADP, SMTP, NFS, iSCSI, UPnP, and HTTPS network protocols.
Stable operation and power
The desktop recorder operates without issue in a temperature range of -10 to +55°C and at a relative air humidity of 10 to 90%. Power consumption is 18W when the device is at full load. The typical power consumption without a hard drive is around 10W. It is powered by 12V DC via the power socket. The device's dimensions are 4.8 × 26.3 × 22.3cm and its total weight is 1.5kg.
