Quick integration into a smart home
Starting up the Homematic IP central unit is very simple and intuitive. Simply connect to a Wi-Fi network, or connect to a router with a network cable, and the Homematic App will guide you through the setup. The unit can stand on a flat surface or can be hung on the wall using the included mounting kit.
The HmIP-HCU1 central unit is compatible with plug-ins
With the Homematic IP HmIP-HCU1 central unit, you get a wide variety of solutions to extend your smart home with plug-ins. A plugin for integration of Philips Hue and CCU3 lighting is currently available. The CCU3 plugin allows easy integration of your existing Homematic and Homematic IP smart components.
Detailed configuration for demanding users
There is a web interface HCUweb that allows you to manage your smart home settings from Homematic IP. This environment will be used especially by users who require more advanced control and setup of the system with the possibility of direct configuration.
