The Huawei eKitEngine AP761 is an outdoor access point designed for covering densely populated areas such as public squares, pedestrian zones, amusement parks, or stadiums. With support for the modern Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, it ensures a stable, low-latency connection even in demanding environments. Its robust metal construction meets the strict IP68 certification, guaranteeing complete resistance to dust ingress and permanent submersion in water. The device operates reliably in extreme temperatures from –40 to +65°C and is equipped with up to 6kA surge protection for the Ethernet ports, meeting industrial-grade durability requirements.

High performance and signal optimisation
The device operates in dual-band mode and achieves a combined transfer speed of up to 1,775Mbps (574Mbps in the 2.4GHz band and 1,201Mbps in the 5GHz band). Integrated OFDMA and MU-MIMO (2×2) technologies enable effective communication with multiple client devices simultaneously, significantly increasing network capacity and spectrum efficiency. Four internal high-gain 11dBi directional antennas ensure excellent coverage and a strong signal. The SmartRadio feature automatically optimises the radio interface, balances the load during roaming, and intelligently suppresses interference for maximum connection stability.
Connectivity and flexible management
A gigabit LAN port is used to connect to the backbone network, which also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to the 802.3af standard. This simplifies outdoor installation by eliminating the need to run a separate power cable to the access point. The Huawei AP761 supports various deployment modes (Fit, Fat, and cloud management) and allows for flexible adaptation to the customer's infrastructure and easy scalability. Network security is ensured by advanced encryption standards including WPA3, rogue device detection (WIDS/WIPS), and the option for user authentication via 802.1X, Portal, or social media.
