The Imou Rex 2D 3MP IP camera provides detailed indoor monitoring with a resolution of 2304 × 1296px at a frame rate of up to 30 FPS. The fixed lens with a focal length of 3.6mm provides a horizontal field of view of 83°, while the motorised drive provides rotation in the range of 355° horizontally and 90° vertically. The device offers classic infrared night vision with a range of up to 10m, motion and sound detection, and is powered directly from the mains. The indoor home security is complemented by an integrated siren, which in the event of an intrusion, immediately activates an audible alarm and sends a notification to your mobile phone.

The 1/2.8" Progressive CMOS sensor records video at 2304 × 1296px, capturing all the essential details in the monitored room. The fixed lens with a focal length of 3.6mm is complemented by an 8× digital zoom for zooming in on more distant objects. Modern H.265 and H.264 compression formats effectively reduce data flow requirements and save storage space. Smooth video recording at 30 FPS provides sharp, blur-free footage even with fast movement in the field of view.
Reliable night vision
Protection of your indoor spaces continues after dark or in complete darkness. The device automatically activates classic infrared night vision, which reliably illuminates the scene up to a distance of 10m. The integrated diodes emit light invisible to the human eye, which does not disturb sleeping household members or pets. The clear, noise-free monochrome image allows for easy identification of people and objects in the room throughout the night.
Intelligent detection and instant alarm
The built-in processor constantly analyses the captured scene and reliably distinguishes the human body from normal movement. Advanced algorithms reduce the risk of false alarms caused by insects or changes in light, for example. The user can set configurable detection zones and a monitoring schedule in the app. Fast push notifications within 0.6s inform the owner of every recorded event, while the built-in siren triggers an audible alarm right at the scene of the incident.
Two-way audio and acoustic monitoring
The security system includes a sensitive built-in microphone and speaker with an advanced echo cancellation function. This hardware allows for clear communication with family members or pets remotely. The device also reacts to unusual sounds in the vicinity, such as a baby crying or glass breaking, and immediately sends an alert. A loud audible alarm warns of unexpected visitors as soon as they enter the monitored area.
Flexible recording storage
Users have several independent ways to securely store their captured video recordings. Directly in the body of the device, there is a memory card slot for MicroSD with support for capacities up to 256GB. An alternative is to save to a network video recorder (NVR) for long-term continuous recording or to use encrypted cloud storage. Storing data on a memory card works locally and requires no additional operating fees.
Connectivity and app
A stable network connection is ensured by a built-in Wi-Fi module operating in the 2.4GHz band with a range of up to 50m in open space, which is complemented by one 100Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet port. ONVIF protocol support simplifies integration into camera systems from other manufacturers. The Imou mobile app is available in English for iOS and Android operating systems. Users can remotely activate the physical privacy shield via the app, which tilts the camera lens downwards.
