Black Mist Filter
The Insta360 Black Mist filter gives every shot a cinematic look with softly diffused light and softer gradients. It reduces the hardness of light sources, softens details and creates an atmospheric, "cinematic" effect suitable for portraits and creative shoots.
Portraits with a soft look
In portrait photography, the filter softens the skin, suppressing harsh highlights and giving images a natural, smoother look. The face has less contrast and the overall impression is more aesthetic and cinematic.
City and landscape
In urban environments and landscapes, the filter helps soften sharp light contrasts and unifies the overall atmosphere of the scene. The shots appear calmer, less harsh and visually balanced, which supports the film's impression even in daylight. In water and boat shots, the filter reduces harsh reflections and softens transitions between light and shadows. The water feels calmer and visually smoother, while the whole scene takes on a more subtle, cinematic feel.
Nature and animals
In nature scenes with animals, the filter reduces harsh light contrasts and softens the overall look of the shot. This makes the landscape look more natural, the light is more balanced and the resulting image has a calmer, softer and more cinematic atmosphere.

When using with the filter on, avoid rain and water sports to prevent water from penetrating the structure and affecting the final effect.
