The Inter-Tech IPC 2U-2412 PC case provides a durable foundation for building powerful server stations or data storage in a standardised 2U Rack format. The case accepts a wide range of motherboards, from small Mini-ITX formats to large SSI-EEB server platforms, which enables flexible hardware configuration. The 1.0mm to 1.2mm thick steel chassis protects sensitive electronics and ensures high mechanical stability even when all twelve external drive bays are fully populated. These bays support hot-swapping for quick replacement.

Twelve hot-swap bays for maximum capacity
The front is dominated by twelve drive bays that fully support the hot-swap function for quick replacement on the fly. Users can install 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives depending on their capacity or data access speed requirements. Inside the chassis, there is space for additional hard drives, specifically one 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch units. This layout allows for the creation of extensive data arrays as well as separate system drives. The rear of the drive cage contains three hot-swap backplanes with SFF-8087 connectors.
Optimised cooling system
The cooling system uses four pre-installed 80mm fans, which the manufacturer has placed directly behind the drive bays. This airflow effectively dissipates heat from the hard drives and the motherboard towards the rear of the case. Low-profile slots are provided for installing expansion cards, with the graphics card able to reach a length of up to 345mm. The 65mm CPU cooler height limit requires the use of low-profile coolers that meet 2U case standards.
Easy access and modern connectivity
The front panel includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for quickly connecting external peripherals or diagnostic tools directly in the rack. The controls are complemented by informational LEDs that indicate power, hard drive activity, and network status or temperature alarms. The top cover uses a latch mechanism that makes it easy to access the internal space without needing to unscrew anything.
