The Inter-Tech KT015 controller expands your computer's storage with two M.2 SSDs with different interfaces. It installs into a free PCIe 3.0 x4 slot on the motherboard and provides one M.2 slot with an M key for high-speed NVMe drives and one M.2 slot with a B key for SATA interface drives. This combination offers flexibility when upgrading your system, allowing you to leverage the speed of the NVMe protocol for the operating system and applications while also connecting an older or higher-capacity SATA M.2 drive for data. The card's design supports the simultaneous operation of both connected drives, with the NVMe drive communicating directly via the fast PCIe lanes, contributing to low latency and high performance.

Transfer speeds of the Inter-Tech KT015 controller
The M-Key slot for the NVMe drive is directly connected to the PCIe 3.0 x4 bus, giving it access to transfer speeds of up to 32Gb/s. Full support for the NVM Express protocol also reduces latency and increases the number of input/output operations per second. The second slot, designed for an M.2 SATA drive with a B key, works on a bridging principle. To make it operational, you must connect the controller to a SATA port on the motherboard using a standard data cable.

The card's design ensures broad compatibility with M.2 SSDs. It includes mounting points for three standard sizes. The package contains the PCIe adapter itself, an additional low-profile bracket, and a complete set of mounting hardware for securing the M.2 drives. The kit also includes a small screwdriver, which makes handling the tiny fastening screws easier. The controller is compatible with common operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS and Linux. This variant is suitable for installation in small SFF or HTPC cases where space for expansion cards is limited.
