This edition includes volumes 1 and 2.

The book is divided into two volumes and arranged into 20 chapters. In addition to the basic fields of internal medicine (cardiology, pneumology, gastroenterology, nephrology, oncology, haematology, rheumatology, endocrinology and metabolism, geriatrics), it also covers related fields such as neurology, psychiatry, acute medicine, poisoning, pain, infectious diseases, nutrition, immunology, and genetics. It also includes a chapter on health and disease, and a new chapter on palliative medicine and multimorbidity in internal medicine, which are increasingly influencing our clinical practice.

The second edition of this publication was prompted primarily by the huge progress in diagnostics and treatment in the individual sub-specialities of internal medicine, the accumulation of new knowledge, and also the interest of doctors in the original textbook. Both volumes of the publication provide information not only for the integral fields of internal medicine but also for fields that are closely related to it.
