In the iRobot HOME mobile app with iRobot OS technology, you can control the Roomba anytime, anywhere. With the iRobot Home system, the Roomba Combo j7 is always learning about your home, which enables it to provide an increasingly sophisticated and tailored clean – exactly when and where it's needed.
vSLAM® navigation with object recognition
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 robotic vacuum cleaner features intelligent PrecisionVision navigation, which enables it to recognise obstacles such as cables, shoes, socks and pet waste. The Roomba Combo will avoid such an obstacle and send you a photo so you can decide whether it's a temporary obstacle or if it should be avoided in the future. The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 detects obstacles via its wide-angle, illuminated front camera. Precise cleaning of the entire home is ensured by advanced vSLAM navigation. With this, the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 cleans in neat rows. Imprint Smart Mapping helps the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 robotic vacuum cleaner learn to recognise rooms, so you can choose only the selected areas where and when the robot should clean.
iRobot Home mobile app
You can easily control the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 via your smartphone or tablet, for example from work or on holiday. Just press the "Vacuum" button and the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 gets to work. The iRobot HOME app with iRobot OS technology also offers a whole range of other useful features and important information. For example, you can use voice control via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. The app also reminds you when to carry out regular cleaning and general maintenance on the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 or to set up no-go zones and a cleaning schedule. With iRobot HOME with OS technology, the level of cleaning improves the more you use the iRobot Roomba Combo j7.
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 uses the three-stage AeroForce cleaning system
The AeroForce three-stage cleaning system focuses the airflow into a narrow gap between the rotating brushes of the iRobot Roomba Combo j7, creating a powerful vacuum effect. Combined with the new high-performance motor, the suction power is increased up to 10× (compared to the iRobot Roomba 600 series).
Rotating side brush – effectively cleans around furniture, along walls, in corners and other hard-to-reach areas.
Two counter-rotating AeroForce brushes – take care of collecting all dirt from all types of floors and carpets.
Powerful suction motor – vacuums fine dust. The powerful AeroForce filter ensures excellent air filtration for the iRobot Roomba Combo j7.
Intelligent mopping with a precision spray jet
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 can lift the mopping pad over carpets and, thanks to advanced navigation, it recognises where you have hard floors and where you have carpets. You can adjust the mopping to your preferences with 3 modes. An electronic pump inside the Roomba Combo j7 precisely controls the water flow and keeps the cleaning pad evenly moist throughout the cleaning process. The Roomba Combo™ mopping system uses a microfibre pad with a special ribbed texture for cleaning. For a perfect clean, you need to use Braava Jet cleaning solution. The robot has a 400ml water tank. The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 has a precision spray nozzle that targets water onto the floor as soon as special sensors detect that the nozzle will not hit furniture, walls or the area under stairs.

The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 recharges during cleaning
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 doesn't leave a job half-done. If its battery gets low during cleaning, it automatically heads to its station to recharge to the level needed to complete the task. You don't have to wait for the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 to fully charge. After recharging, the robotic vacuum cleaner continues from where it left off.
The Roomba Combo j7 can handle large spaces
If the Roomba Combo j7 runs out of power, it will go to the station to recharge during cleaning and, if necessary, empty itself into the Clean Base* station. The new Visual Docking feature allows the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 to dock precisely with the charging station, and with LED illumination, it can do so even in the dark. The robot can remember up to 10 different maps.
*The Clean Base charging and cleaning station is an optional accessory and is not included in the package.
The robotic vacuum cleaner avoids danger
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 robotic vacuum cleaner avoids unexpected obstacles, from charging cables to your pet's waste. When it first sees them, it tries to figure out how to handle them now and in the future by sending you a photo. It's up to you whether it avoids them or continues cleaning.
The robotic vacuum cleaner will clean where it's needed
Set up Automation in the smart app and the Roomba Combo j7 robotic vacuum cleaner will know from your smartphone information that you are leaving the house. The iRobot Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner will only start cleaning when you are no longer at home. You will then return to a clean and quiet home.
Keep Out Zones and Clean Zones features
In the iRobot HOME app, you can mark an unlimited number of places on the map that the Roomba j7 robotic vacuum cleaner will skip during cleaning. The minimum size of such a zone must be 60×60cm. This feature is ideal for protecting your pet's food bowl, but there are many more uses. The feature fully replaces a virtual wall. You can also mark Clean Zones on the map, which the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 vacuum cleaner will then head to clean.
Seasonal and personalised cleaning suggestions
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 knows what season it is, or when your pet starts shedding, or when pollen season starts. Based on this, it can suggest adjustments to the cleaning processes to keep your home perfectly clean. In addition, you can create your own cleaning schedule for any day or specific time.
Dirt Detect and reverse function
The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 robotic vacuum cleaner uses sensors to detect more heavily soiled areas, which it will then focus on intensively. Another useful feature of the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 is Reactive Sensor Technology. The sensors inform the robot about spaces it can enter. When a narrow space is detected, the vacuum cleaner stops and starts to reverse out.
Clean Base cleaning station
The robotic helper has a washable AeroForce dustbin, which is very easy to maintain. For maximum convenience, the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 vacuum cleaner enables automatic emptying of the dustbin into the Clean Base cleaning station, which contains a disposable dirt bag with a capacity for 30 dustbins.
Please note: the Clean Base station is an optional accessory.

To make cleaning your home as safe as possible, the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 is equipped with safety sensors on the underside to prevent it from falling down stairs or other elevated places.
Roomba Combo j7 remembers up to 10 maps
The robotic helper can load and remember up to 10 different maps. So you can use the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 in multi-storey houses or take it with you to your cottage or country house. You can even share the robotic vacuum cleaner with your neighbours.
Repeat cleaning setting
Set the robot to repeat cleaning according to 3 settings. For example, Cleaning by room size means that the iRobot Roomba Combo j7 will pass through large rooms once and medium and small rooms 2–3 times (depending on their size). You can use the Daily clean option for regular cleaning. The Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner will pass through each room only once. The last option is Extra clean. This is for exceptional situations when you need a very thorough clean immediately. The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 will pass through all areas twice in a single clean.
The iRobot Roomba has a practical bumper
You don't have to worry about the Roomba Combo j7 robotic vacuum cleaner damaging your furniture. With its soft-touch bumper, the robotic helper won't damage anything. The iRobot Roomba Combo j7 can recognise apparent obstacles like curtains or bedspreads and clean around curtains and under beds. The robotic vacuum cleaner has an anti-tangle function for cables or carpet fringes.
