Island of storm and calm
A Storm That Reveals All: Secrets, Lies, and Hope on Petrel Island
On the small, remote Petrel Island near Antarctica, a storm rages, washing the body of an unknown woman ashore. The family of the research base administrator takes her in, but their joy is short-lived. How did she get here? The base is closing down, and its seed bank is being moved because the island is slowly being submerged by rising sea levels. The island's isolation and its beauty, teeming with wildlife, take their toll on people, leaving doubts lingering—what are they hiding from each other, and why? Secrets and lies pile up, yet the people cling to one another as their only hope for survival. Can they put the tragedies of the past behind them and create something new?
