How can you help the beautiful Lízinka Tachecí, a girl for whom any man would move heaven and earth, when she hasn't been accepted into grammar school, the conservatory, or any other school that offers A-levels? The only option left is to open the PST! file and enrol her in the foundation year of a secret school for executioners, so she can become the world's first female hangman. Pavel Kohout's most successful novel has been published in dozens of countries since 1978, finding many fans everywhere. In our time, when blood flows from television screens from morning till night, and violence has long since dulled our senses, the author has found a way to get under the reader's skin. The dark humour with which he follows the fates of seven classmates and their teachers, masters of the executioner's art, Professor Vlk and associate professor Šimsa, constantly provokes laughter that freezes on your lips again and again.
