Marple - Expert in Wrongness

She knows human nature like no other and can astutely and uncompromisingly expose its dark side – which is partly why Miss Marple has become one of the most beloved crime investigators in classic crime fiction. This book charts where and with what success she has appeared, both in the work of her creator, Agatha Christie, and in adapted forms on the stage, the silver screen, and television. Using period material, including reproductions of posters and behind-the-scenes photographs, it captivatingly chronicles the story of this character from her creation almost a hundred years ago to the recent collection, Twelve New Cases, penned by contemporary detective story writers.
