Tension eases, a time of concessions and change is coming. Czechoslovakia is living in a strange calm – although there isn't much in the shops, everyone has everything and votes one hundred per cent in elections. Flats are being built, the Thermal hotel is being completed, and the new Škoda 105 is going into production. In cinemas, the film Marečku, podejte mi pero is a hit, Miloš Forman wins an Oscar, Katapult releases its first single, and we're celebrating a hockey gold and Panenka's cheeky penalty. Around the world, the Concorde takes off, Apple is born, and the stages are ruled by Abba and Boney M. The year 1976 dances to the rhythm of disco.
