“Sometimes it is blind passion that knocks us off balance, clouds our judgement, and leads us astray – just so we can finally understand what true love tastes like.”

The Mysterious Neighbour is a psychological novel that will stay with you long after you’ve finished reading.

Anna is a medical student who thinks she has her life under control. She should be planning her future and enjoying the present. But the relationship, which at first seems like a fairy tale, has its own rules – and Anna slowly becomes a pawn in a psychological game that leads her to a crossroads in life. To a land where the sun burns differently and where the truth is not a release, but a test.

While her friend Marie is dating, Ilonka is getting ready for another show and Aunt Julie is holding tight to the key to family secrets, Anna is learning to believe again – in relationships, in love, in herself.

Monika J. Čapková brilliantly tells a story of female strength, fragility, and hope.
About love, which has many different forms, and friendship, which survives any hangover.
