Nikola Tesla and the war
When Marc Seifer wrote the book Nikola Tesla: Wizard at War in 1996 (originally titled Nikola Tesla: Visionary – Genius – Magician), he sought to uncover the facts about Tesla's role in the development of numerous inventions (especially the induction motor, the polyphase alternating current system, remote control, robotics, and wireless communication), as a great deal of misinformation had been spread in this regard. Even today, the myth persists that Tesla was unable to understand Maxwell's equations describing the electromagnetic field, even though his notebooks, such as the colourado Springs Notes 1899–1900, are filled with incredibly complex equations. Since Marc Seifer presented Tesla's biography in strict chronological order and cited all his sources in his book, the misinformation about this inventor is beginning to fade.
In this book, the author focuses on Tesla's life during the two World Wars. A major advantage was that the FBI and CIA recently declassified archives containing Tesla's files, allowing Seifer to compare both redacted and unredacted passages. Based on new information obtained from the Tesla Museum in Belgrade and from Prometheus Entertainment during the filming of the documentary television miniseries The Tesla Files, as well as information from Tesla fans around the world, he was able to significantly expand our knowledge of the role the inventor played during both World Wars and learn which world leaders he associated with. A substantial part of the book is then devoted to new findings about the function of Tesla's mysterious particle beam weapon (the “death ray”), and in conclusion, he introduces the reader to Tesla's dynamic theory of gravity, which is closely linked to the concept of ether and a sharp critique of Einstein's theory of relativity. Incidentally, Einstein himself later revived the theory of ether (Marc Seifer notes on this occasion that he was so intrigued by this controversy that he dedicated another entire book to it, titled Transcending the Speed of Light: Consciousness, Quantum Physics, and the Fifth Dimension).
