Exceptional performance in a compact camera. That's exactly what the new COOLPIX A900 from Nikon is all about. It is equipped with high-quality NIKKOR optics and a lens with a 35x optical zoom for taking stunning images in ultra fine detail. With its built-in WiFi module, it can be controlled from a smart device, or you can upload and share your snapshots. The camera is capable of shooting films in 4K resolution and the menu is all in English.
Despite its small size, inside you'll find high-performance optics, which help to create brilliant images and films. The main features of the camera include its CMOS image sensor with a total resolution of 20.3Mpx and its NIKKOR lens with a 35x zoom, which can be connected to the Dynamic Fine Zoom to expand the zoom magnification to 70x. If you like taking pictures of distant objects then the A900 is the right choice for you. Lens angles range from a 24mm wide-angle to an 840mm supertelephoto. You can even take macro shots as close as 1cm away from the lens.
If you like filming videos, you will enjoy the 4K resolution, stereo sound and the supported MP4 and H.264 formats for video compression, which ensure high-quality, even at a low bit rate. With 4K sequential shooting, you can capture up to 30 frames per second for the whole duration that the shutter button is held down. "Pause" allows you to pause and record again and you can also capture still images while recording video sequences.
The monitor, with a 3" diagonal screen and 921,000 pixels makes it easy to take shots and make creative compositions. It always provides an accurate preview of what will ultimately be in the pictures. The intuitive interface makes it easy to compose images and video, and thanks to the anti-reflective layer and six brightness settings, the resulting image will always be perfect, even during a bright sunny day. There is a dial on top of the camera that gives you easy access to the exposure modes (P/S/A/M) for manual control of the shutter speed and/or aperture.
With WiFi connectivity and SnapBridge, the camera can be remotely controlled on your smart phone or tablet. Synchronise your pictures with your mobile phone and then easily share them with friends and family. You can control several camera features or update the time and the device itself all by phone.
The camera supports the PictBridge standard, which lets you print photos on a printer without using a computer. With PictBridge, it doesn't matter what kind of printer you want to print your photos on. The printer just has to support PictBridge so that you can seamlessly start printing. Connect the camera to your printer wirelessly using WiFi or a USB cable, and without having to turn on the computer, print out stunning photos in no time and in full-quality.
