She may not have a famous name, financial resources or family support, but Katarina Shaw always knew she was destined to become an Olympic figure skater. When he meets Heath Rocha, a lonely boy growing up in foster care, their connection instantly makes them an unbeatable pair on the ice. Dancing on the ice is an escape for Katarina and Heath from their tumultuous lives - and from themselves - and the childhood sweethearts become figure skating champions who captivate the world with their mutual passion, rebellious style and tumultuous relationship.

Until a shocking event at the Olympics abruptly ends their partnership.

As the tenth anniversary of their last performance approaches, public interest in the pair is being reignited by a documentary that promises to reveal the "real story" of Katarina and Heath through interviews with their closest friends and biggest rivals. Katarina wants nothing to do with the documentary, but finally, after ten years of silence, she tells her story: from the childhood tragedies that gave birth to her consuming bond with Heath to the clash of passions that tore them apart. Rumours have dogged them for years, but the truth may shock even more than the headlines.
