The Philips Screeneo UL5 Smart is a compact ultra-short-throw projector that uses DLP display technology and has a native Full HD resolution of 1920×1080. Its triple RGB laser light source achieves a brightness of 550 ANSI lumens and covers 108% of the REC.2020 colour space. It projects an image with a screen size of up to 300cm from a short distance. The Philips UL5 projector supports HDR10 high dynamic range content and runs on the LuminOS operating system with pre-installed streaming apps. To connect sources, it has one HDMI 2.1 port and two USB-C ports for both power and data transfer.

Triple laser and Full HD resolution
The Philips Screeneo UL5 Smart projector displays images using a DLP chip in native Full HD 1920×1080 resolution. A triple RGB laser serves as the light source, providing a brightness of 550 ANSI lumens. This technology reproduces a wide colour spectrum, covering 108% of the REC.2020 standard. HDR10 technology effectively preserves fine details in both dark and bright parts of the scene and significantly expands the overall dynamic range of the image.
Connectivity and wireless features
The projector offers an HDMI 2.1 port with HDCP 2.2 content protection support for connecting game consoles, laptops or multimedia centres. It also includes two USB-C ports, which serve to both power the projector and transfer data from compatible devices. The USB-A interface reliably powers connected devices while also enabling direct playback of multimedia files from external drives. Wireless connectivity is handled by dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) for stable access to online content and Bluetooth 4.2 for connecting external speakers or headphones.
Auto-focus and flexible placement
For quick setup and a consistently sharp image, the projector uses an auto-focus function. After each move, the projector adjusts the focus itself, ensuring an instantly sharp image thanks to fully automatic optics calibration. You can adjust the image geometry using the manual keystone correction, which straightens the image if the projector is not placed perpendicular to the projection surface. The ultra-short throw distance greatly simplifies installation, as it doesn't require ceiling mounting or finding the correct distance from the wall.
LuminOS operating system and audio options
The LuminOS operating system, built on the Android platform, includes pre-installed apps such as NETFLIX, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+. This gives you direct access to streamed content, which is available directly in the system interface as a standalone, fully integrated function. Audio is handled by integrated stereo speakers with a total power of 6W (2×3W). Bluetooth connects an external speaker to the projector, or wireless headphones for a more intense audio experience or private listening.
