PremiumCord Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 optical AOC fiber cable 8K@60Hz, gold plated connectors 5 m
This active optical HDMI 2.1 cable from PremiumCord, with a length of 5 metres, is designed to transmit video and audio over longer distances without signal loss. Thanks to its hybrid construction, it combines optical fibres and copper conductors, ensuring a maximum data transfer rate of 48Gb/s with no signal degradation. It supports resolutions of up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz, making it ideal for connecting games consoles, computers, and televisions. The cable is also backward compatible with older HDMI standards.

Active optical technology for lossless signal transmission
The cable uses Active Optical Cable (AOC) technology, which converts the electrical signal into a light signal. This is then transmitted through four OM3 optical fibres, which prevents any loss of quality or interference over longer distances. The hybrid construction of the cable is complemented by seven traditional conductors to handle other functions. The electronics are powered directly from the HDMI bus, with a consumption of less than 250mW. With a diameter of 5mm and a minimum bend radius of 20mm, the cable bends easily.
Support for video and audio features
With the HDMI 2.1 standard, you can enjoy resolutions of up to 8K@60Hz or 4K visuals at 120Hz. High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology delivers vivid colours and contrast between the light and dark parts of a scene. Gamers will appreciate Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), which synchronises the refresh rate with the graphics card to prevent screen tearing, and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for automatically setting low response times. The enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) supports the transmission of advanced audio formats.
Metal connectors and compatibility
The cable is fitted with two HDMI type A (19-pin, male) connectors. The gold-plated HDMI connectors are set in metal housings, contributing to a reliable connection and protection. Support for HDCP digital content protection in versions 1.4, 2.2, and 2.3 is essential for playback from protected sources like Blu-ray players or streaming services. The cable is fully backward compatible with older HDMI standards 2.0a, 2.0, and 1.4, so you can also use it with older devices.
