Purple darkness
The Northern Day is in peril, the Crimson Darkness is coming.
The Northern Day is plunged into chaos. Endless rain and the blood of the crucified pour through the streets. The government and the Church have fallen, and members of the mysterious Svit are taking power. But something even more sinister is approaching: the Crimson Darkness, a twenty-eight-day-long night during which spectres emerge from the deep forests and ancient labyrinths reveal the skeletons of unimaginable creatures.
To turn the tide of events, former prospector Julius and Vicram, the leader of the criminal Syndicate, must embark on an expedition to the Northern Territories, where unpredictable bioconstructs are hiding. At the same time, Cora, who is gifted with superhuman abilities, and her fugitive companion Hana set out to save Rovini, Lake and Rock City from a deadly disease.
On their journey across the stormy ocean and icy floes, they will be accompanied by a thousands-of-years-old cephalopod and machines the likes of which no one has ever seen. But will it be enough? In the Crimson Darkness, it is easy to get lost... and much harder to escape.
Ondřej Blaho
Born in Prague in 1983, he has lived in Brno for the last few years. He wanted to study journalism but ended up at law school, which he did not finish even after six years of half-hearted effort. Today, he is the co-owner of a construction company, and for him, writing, along with photography, is the best way to relax. From an early age, he enjoyed escaping from reality into the worlds depicted in fantasy and sci-fi books, and later found a passion for existential and philosophical literature. He has written about fifty short or longer stories, but it was during the COVID-19 pandemic that he decided to fulfil his dream and wrote the novel The Northern Day. He is currently working on the second part of a planned trilogy and, in parallel, on two other books. In addition to writing, he is also involved in photography (street photo, abstract) and spends a lot of time scuba diving.
