Reolink NVS36

Reolink NVS36
The Reolink NVS36 network recorder stores and manages video recordings from Reolink security cameras, with which it works exclusively. This desktop device processes the signal from the connected cameras and saves the data to hard drives. Users can watch the live feed and previous recordings via computer or mobile phone apps. The recorder supports the connection of up to 36 cameras simultaneously, with a high recording resolution of up to 16MP. The system helps with the continuous 24/7 monitoring of medium and large properties.

Storage space
The recorder offers three bays for SATA hard drives. Each bay can accommodate one hard drive with a capacity of up to 16TB. Together, the three drives create a total storage space of 48TB for storing captured video recordings. This lets users keep a large amount of data from continuous monitoring for a long time. The manufacturer supplies the hard drives separately as optional accessories, so you can choose the capacity according to your specific needs.
High resolution and video compression
The device supports cameras with resolutions up to 16MP. The high resolution delivers a detailed image for precise object recognition. The recorder uses H.265 and H.264 video compression standards to save space. These formats reduce the demands on disk capacity while maintaining image quality, allowing users to save on storage space.
Camera connections, audio interface and alarm channels
The recorder can handle up to 36 IP cameras simultaneously. Users connect cameras to the recorder indirectly via external PoE switches, as the device does not support direct PoE power for cameras. The recorder itself offers four gigabit RJ-45 ethernet ports dedicated to network cameras. Another ethernet port is used to connect the recorder to a router. The recorder includes connectors for audio transmission. One audio input and one audio output are used for two-way audio communication with the monitored area. The device also includes eight alarm inputs and four alarm outputs for external sensors. These ports help to link the system with other security features, so users can react to various events.
System control and recording modes
The entire system is managed through several different interfaces. Users can use the desktop application for Windows and macOS computers. The mobile app provides access to live streams and saved recordings on phones. A web interface is also available for quick access via a browser. This means the recorder's settings can be adjusted according to your current needs. The recorder supports several different video recording modes. Users can set up continuous 24/7 recording to the hard drives. The system can also record only when it detects motion from people or vehicles. This feature saves free space on the drives. In addition, the device supports backing up selected recordings to cloud storage.
