Schrödinger' s cat and a new view of the world

Modern science and physics tend to avoid subjects like consciousness and its nature, considering it merely a product of brain activity. However, as quantum mechanics suggests, the phenomenon of consciousness (the conscious observer) may be closely linked to the physical nature of our world. What would be the point of the universe if there was no one to observe it?

The famous Schrödinger's cat thought experiment allows us to look at the world from a different angle than we were taught at school. The universe may not just be a mass of inanimate matter in which life appeared as a random anomaly, but rather it could be the result of a principle that prioritises the observer over the observed. This, however, radically changes the way we understand this world.
