A Second Life in Rebirth Capsules

An old war veteran wanted to add a bit of spice to his lonely existence, so he entered Alpha Rome.

This virtual world gave him the opportunity to feel young again and get one last taste of the spice of life. The prospect of death was no longer a concern, as everyone who dies here is reborn through replication in specially designed capsules. Volper's military experience, sharp eye, and refined negotiation skills helped him get off to a successful start, but his opinion of the project itself has changed dramatically. More and more questions are surfacing, but the answers are nowhere in sight.

Why were people with psionic abilities declared dangerous mutants and a war waged against them? How can you get the profession of a scuffairfer, and why is everyone who tries to do so persecuted? What are people from his past, people he thought were dead, doing in the Alpha Rome project? Volper, together with his new, carefully trained team, is determined to get to the bottom of it all.
