Talk to me

Julie Caplin

Julie Caplin is the pseudonym for the British author of the bestselling Romantic Escapes series. She is addicted to travelling and good food. She is constantly on the hunt for the perfect gin and is unhealthily particular about glasses, tonic, and garnishes. In between gin tastings, she wrote her first novel, The Little Café in Copenhagen, which launched her international success. As a PR director, she spent several years travelling around Europe, taking top food and drink journalists on press trips (so-called business trips) to experience the culinary delights of various cities around the world. These places became the inspiration for her subsequent books, which were released in this order: The Little Café in Copenhagen, The Little Brooklyn Bakery, The Little Paris Patisserie, The Secret Cove in Croatia, The Northern Lights Lodge, The Little Teashop in Tokyo, The Cosy Cottage in Switzerland, The Little Irish Village, The Christmas Castle in Scotland, and The French Chateau (the novels are also available as audiobooks). Her latest book is the new release, The Villa in Italy. She has visited the Czech Republic several times and was enchanted by Prague, which is why her upcoming book will be set there.
