The Martian – Special Edition

He was one of the first to walk on Mars. Will he be the first to die there? Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to land on Mars. Today, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. A successful mission on the surface of Mars is cut short by a dust storm that threatens the crew's lives. Mark is almost killed, and when he wakes up, he finds himself in an entirely new situation. He is all alone on a planet that seems to be trying its best to kill him. He has no way of letting Earth know he’s alive, and even if he could, his supplies are nowhere near enough to survive until the next spaceship arrives. Then again, he probably won't have enough time to die of starvation. Damaged equipment, the harsh Martian environment, and the old familiar “human factor” with its blunders and mistakes could kill him much sooner.

But Mark isn't willing to just give up. Thanks to his ingenuity, technical skills, and stubborn determination, he persistently battles one insurmountable obstacle after another. Will his strong will and deep knowledge be enough for him to overcome the impossible?
