The month of my life

THE MINER TO THE ANTIQUE DEALER, THE VICTIM TO THE DETECTIVE...

Kuba Nedomý, a former miner from the Českopolská mining company, was looking forward to returning to Earth. Instead, someone tries to kill him and he must fight for his life near the lunar habitat of Arcadia. But the action, in which his friend Kazimir Prus also plays a role, is only the first in a series of problems. Now Cuba faces a long journey through the wasteland with the very people who would most like to see him at the bottom of the crater.

What role did Kazik, whom Dr. Kurz later transformed into a cyborg named Grandpa Chuchak, play in Kuba's fate? Why did Cuba become an antique dealer and occasional detective instead of an illusionist star? And how did they both become involved in the fatal destruction of the Arcadian Dome?

The Moon of My Life, the cult sci-fi novel that kicked off the Arcadia series, is out in an ultimate, revised edition. Neff's quirky heroes, Kuba Nedomý and Dědek Čuchák, are introduced to readers at the beginning of their lunar careers, which then developed dramatically in the books Rock of My Life, Star of My Life, Ultimus, Hu! The Tales of Grandpa Chuchák, The Island of the Immortals, The Golden Orange and The Seventh Wave.
