The traitor among us

IT WAS JUST A REGULAR REALITY SHOW. UNTIL IT BECAME A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH…

Virologist Lyla isn't going through the best of times. Her research is unlikely to receive further funding, and her relationship with Nico, an actor four years her junior, isn't what she'd dreamed it would be. Nico, however, has a different opinion. He comes up with a proposal that could boost his career: they should apply for a new reality show together.

In the show, 'The Perfect Couple', couples compete in a series of activities on a tropical island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The thought of running around in a bikini in front of cameras isn't exactly appealing to Lyla, but she decides to support Nico. After all, an escape from reality might help her get her thoughts in order.

But right after the first challenge, the show's participants are disgruntled, and as if that weren't enough, a storm rolls in during the night, cutting them off from the mainland. Drinking water is running out, tensions are rising, and with the discovery of a dead body, the ill-fated show turns into a horrifying reality.

Some, however, are still determined to win – even at the cost of betrayal, manipulation, and murder…
