The Wanderings of the Tâsirank Lu'fän

In the year 834 of the Savrös calendar, the Savrös super-colossus Tûräs orbits the isolated land of Mâr Rasûnar, while below, a civil war rages and a tyrant holds the people in poverty and fear.

Young Tâsiran Lû'fän bears the freshly branded mark of her masters on her face and has endured years of harsh drilling in a slaver complex. Her older sister, Nû'fän, risks everything for her, entrusting her to the smuggler Järên, who is to guide her along hidden paths to the West, to the resistance, where she might finally be free.

For a girl who has never seen anything but grey walls, every step is a discovery. The morning mist over the river, the kindness of strangers, a secret school in the cellar of a nobleman's manor. And also a new, unknown feeling for a young man in front of whom she cannot utter a single word. But the countryside is patrolled by the Northern Army, and the training that was meant to turn Lû'fän into an obedient tool may prove to be her sharpest weapon.

This standalone story opens an entirely new miniseries, Fates from the INS Universe, set in the sci-fi world of Issûm niv Savrös.
