TP-Link SG3428, Omada

The TP-Link SG3428 managed L3 switch is designed to manage and expand business networks. It offers a total of 28 ports, including 24 gigabit RJ-45 ports and 4 SFP slots for optical connections. Thanks to its integration into the Omada SDN platform, it enables centralised management of the entire network infrastructure. The switch supports advanced L3 features, such as static routing to control traffic. With a switching capacity of 56Gbps and a metal body, it is ready for rack deployment.

Centralised management and L3 features

Integration into the Omada Software Defined Network (SDN) provides centralised management from a single interface, which simplifies configuration and monitoring. The switch supports advanced L3 features, including static routing for directing data flows within the network. This lets you manually set paths for internal traffic to improve network management. The device is also ready for operation in networks using the IPv6 protocol.

Network segmentation and traffic prioritisation

The switch offers extensive network segmentation options using up to 4096 VLANs. The VLAN function logically separates network traffic, increases security, and controls performance. To manage data flows, Quality of Service (QoS) is available to prioritise delay-sensitive traffic, such as voice or video transmissions. Static link aggregation and the LACP protocol are used to increase bandwidth and ensure connection redundancy. Security features include IGMP and DHCP snooping or protection against DoS attacks.
