Until we meet again

Is there a second chance for those who never got one?

When Izzy Astor boards a plane, she has no idea what awaits her in the minutes to come. She's returning home from holiday, surrounded by crowds of people and the typical hustle and bustle of travel.

But then she spots a man in the seat next to her who looks anything but typical. Nate Phelan has dark hair, blue eyes, and a special charm that Izzy can't resist. They hit it off instantly. Izzy never believed in fateful encounters, but that's about to change.

Ninety seconds after take-off, the plane crashes into the Missouri River, and their lives are joined together, only to be torn apart again. Nate enlists in the army, while Izzy works her way through university and into politics. Over the years, they meet briefly several times, but the timing is never right for a long-term relationship.

After many years of searching, their paths cross again, this time in war-torn Afghanistan. Nate is put in charge of Izzy's security. He'll do anything to protect her. He'll do anything to win her heart.
