Viral

Sixteen-year-old Lena Palmer disappears without a trace. Three days later, she reappears in a disturbingly brutal video that goes viral at breathtaking speed, setting off a chain of events that poses a serious threat in the tense atmosphere of a divided society facing ever-accelerating change.

Federal Criminal Police Office investigator Yasira Saad is tasked with finding Lena and identifying the perpetrator. She has little time, as the first violent demonstrations are already taking place in German cities. A radical right-wing group called the Active Movement for the Defence of the Homeland is rapidly gaining popularity, and more videos are spreading across social networks at an incredible rate. Can Yasira arrest the culprit before the lynch mob strikes and the rule of law begins to crumble? Does she have a chance to win, or at least slow down, the race against modern technology? And in this race, can we even speak of a winner?
