Capacity and portability
This portable HDD combines high storage capacity with compact dimensions. Despite its 6TB capacity, the drive maintains a low weight of 210 grams and a slim profile, making it easy to store in a backpack or laptop bag. Its construction is suited for frequent transport and provides access to large files anywhere, without needing an internet connection.
Hardware data encryption
Integrated hardware encryption protects your files from unauthorised access. Use the supplied software to set your own password, which activates 256-bit AES encryption. This process encrypts all data stored on the drive. Because the encryption operations take place directly on the drive's hardware, they do not affect the performance of the connected computer, and this approach also protects data during transfer between devices.
Automatic backup
The included Acronis True Image for Western Digital software is used for scheduling automatic backups. The application lets you set up regular backups of your entire system or just selected folders according to your own schedule. This tool also includes active protection against ransomware, which helps defend your computer system and important applications from attacks and subsequent data loss.
