WESTERN DIGITAL Caviar Green 1000GB 64MB cache

Modern hard disk with a capacity of 1,000 gigabytes of new Caviar Green series, which promises from previous generations even higher energy savings and perfect quietness of operation. The key to such high capacity is to use perpendicular registration. Perpendicular writing technology allows saving the data plate perpendicular to the disk, the data record is so dense and capacity several times higher compared to the older longitudinal registration. Excellent performance also supports 64 MB of memory cache, which is twice the amount compared to conventional hard drives. Thanks to its low power consumption and noise emitted from the disk suitable for multimedia computers, HTPC, home server or for use in external boxes. This version of the disc is intended for connection to high-speed SATA III interface.

Mark Green Power indicates the revolutionary technology of hard drives, which reduces the consumption of radiated heat and noise. Provide her saving features IntelliPower, IntelliPark and IntelliSeek. The first synchronizes the disk platters speed, transfer rate and caching so that the disk reduce consumption and also provides optimum performance. IntelliPark automatically parks the disk heads to reduce aerodynamic drag. IntelliSeek calculates optimum interplay of heads and platters for the best balance between performance, noise and power consumption. This feature saves battery life drive and the environment.
